It was a successful turn over ceremony last month. All principals/ head of schools and barangay officials were present. The boats we turned over will cater hundreds of students from different island schools in Bantayan group of islands, North Cebu. That means these students will have a free ride to go to school. We are proud to say YBH now exists in Doong National High School, Doong Elementary School, Lipayran Integrated School, Moamboc Elementary School, Hilotongan Integrated School, Botigues Integrated School, Luyongbabay Elementary School, Suba Poblacion, Panangatan Island, Botong Island and Mambacayao Elementary School.

Aside from bags, we also turned over 220 school bags for the students of Mambacayao Elementary School through my son’s bag drive “AJ’s Paglaum sa Mambacayao Bag Campaign” BeAGiver Project. Each student will have a bag. We thank Chadwick International School for supporting all the campaigns.

We also met again our YBH lead implementor of Daanbantayan Funds for Little Kids Ms Jayma Julkipli. Our boatmakers were also there, lead by Joseph Magam Ocariza. Rolan Garcia, lead implementer of Siargao Funds For Little Kids, also joined us with his friends Pat and Lycar. Thanks for joining us uncle!

It was a gathering full of camaraderie, service and love.

We also acknowledged Ms Maike Silver, a YBH volunteer, for everything she has done for the YBH. She will transfer to Mozambique next year as one of the head of schools. Kudos to all the students, teachers, and principals.
