Ambassadors of Hope

Among the group’s many inspiring stories, what touches me the most is the compassion of its volunteers who selflessly came together to provide not only boats to school children, but hope for a brighter future to the next generation of Filipinos.

Never believe that a few caring people can't change the world. For, indeed, that's all who ever have.

Margaret Mead, Elementary students raise $1,700

Be remarkable.

Alpha Miguel-Sanford, AMS Daily

有一群小孩以勇氣為槳,有一群大人用希望造船,我們因此同在愛的旅程上。Some kids paddle by courage and, people build up boats by hope, therefore all of us are on the same way to the journey of love

Ryan Lai

Change is not something that's happening to us. Change is something we do to make something happen. I am more than happy to contribute to the change we want for our country. And that is by being able to help transform lives, one boat at a time.

Nadine Chen Bernardino

These are some of the traits of the YBH that are inspiring and that move you to act. - Hope anchored in the love for children - Collaboration and trust amongst fellow dreamers and doers - Empowering communities to become partners in nation building

Edsel M. Ramirez, Philippine Toy Library

I have been working around boats for the last 10 years. My company helps sell fishing and pleasure boats from shipyards all around the world. The day I discovered that we could help kids and family by financing little boats for such an affordable cost I decided to be involved with Yellow Boat of Hope. The journey has been amazing and I had the chance to visit a community in Zamboanga. The foundation has done a wonderful job and I can't wait to help them again!

What truly inspired me while working with Yellow Boat of Hope is the amount of joy it feels to give kids in the Philippines a better tomorrow by giving them the means to do better.

John Carlo Laude

It's amazing how Yellow Boat of Hope has allowed me to show that you're never too young or too old to make a difference in someone else's life.

Janine Parel

You cannot create hope just by wishing for good things to happen. It is when you do good things, no matter how small, that you create hope in yourself and others.

I was a product of both public elementary and high school education. I know how difficult it was to finish schooling and reached the status of where I am now as an educator. Until I saw in Facebook the story of YBH. It never dawned on me how more difficult it was on young students to brave waters, to swim on open seas just to get to school. Without a second thought I decided to help and also asked my college students to voluntarily support these young students, thus we were able to donate four yellow boats.

A simple act of caring creates an endless ripple effect - being part of the Yellow Boat Of Hope's mission and movement truly is a testimony to that saying, because we are all interdependent and we must strive to make this world a better place. To make kindness truly an act of paying it forward. That is the way it is supposed to be.

Jason Keith Boñaga

The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation is clearly committed and efficient to transform positively the lives of children that need us to do so. And so they did. Thank you for the great achievement you made possible and keep going for new challenges! Hope sails. And even more today.

You may not be able to change the world, but you sure can make a difference by changing somebody else's world.

To walk several hours a day just to get to school. To wade in the water or even swim just to get to school. It was both heart-wrenching and inspiring to see what some kids in the Philippines were willing to do for education. At the end of the day, however, it was unacceptable. There had to be a better way, an easier way, the right way. And if the government was not going to do something about it, we must. That's what the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation has been doing, one, well, yellow boat at a time. I witnessed how lives changed in communities that have benefited - in Lakewood, Zamboanga del Sur and in Layag-Layag, Zamboanga City. Keep changing lives. Keep inspiring. Mabuhay kayo!

Yellow Boat of Hope inspires me because they provide children who risk their lives each day to go to school, a sense of destination and a bigger hope to follow their dreams.

Melissa Villa, Project Pearls

The greatest gift anyone can give to another is a sense of hope. Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation not only created the vision of making a better place for children's education, but they have also disseminated an optimistic attitude and faith that the world could be a better place. Anyone can give hope, be part of the advocacy.

It's not morally right to do nothing when you can make a difference in people's lives. I support the Yellow Boat of Hope.

Yellow Boat of Hope reaches people and touches their lives the way only Yellow Boat can...beyond limits, across dialects and with no kid is too far, no river is too deep.

AG Saño, Art Attack - Philippines

We are hearing more and more with every day what the foundation is doing. It is so much more than providing boats, with every boat the foundation also donates school supplies, encouraging the children of the village to attend and remain in school.

Generosity goes a long way when people pitch in. We are pleased to have been a part of Yellow Boat’s effort to spread generosity. It’s touching to see friends from the Philippines, China and other countries pitching in and give assistance to fishermen and their children.

Jaime FlorCruz, CNN Beijing Bureau Chief

With the Lord's blessings, we can do all things that we believe in...

I feel strongly that literacy can break the cycle of poverty which is why I chose it as my platform. When I saw a video of kids swimming and hiking for miles to get to school I was extremely moved. These kids are working so hard just to have an education they deserve any help they can get. Who knows, there may be a future scientist amongst them.

Carly Peeters, Miss Teen International 2017

The Yellow Boat of Hope foundation inspires me to be a person of action in helping those in need. I never knew how important and blessed I was when it came to my education. Knowing that I helped a child receive an education that they deserve has been nothing more than blessing and truly changed my life to be more aware and caring of those around me.

When I turn on the news everyday, there is nothing but corruption, death and conflicts. Seeing the YBH Project in Layag-Layag, however is a breath of fresh air. It warms the heart and it lifts one’s soul.
