Why are we building a YELLOW DORM of HOPE for our Sibugaynon kids in Sibugay?

Primarily because our team believes that education brings hope! Here’s a true story of 1 of the students we would like to save.

July 2Shoes014. Her name is Jaylyn Lumayang, she is in Grade 9 now. She lives in Brgy. Tampilisan Kabasalan Zamboanga Sibugay Community…She actually walks from Kabasalan to Tampilisan for about 5-6 hours, on rough and muddy roads. And she belongs to the indigenous Subanen Tribe.

She wants to be educated. The nearest elementary school she used to walk to was around 2-3 hours depending on weather conditions – but it didn’t stop her to dream and to hope that someday education with hard work will somehow give birth a better life.

Students like Jaylyn are dreamers, and the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation also dreams for them. We know we will be seeing a better and good future for them!
