al1Thanks to the Alegado Foundation’s collaboration with @yellowboatph provided three catamarans to a handful of victims recovering from the devastating effects of #TyphoonYolanda (#Typhoon Haiyan).

The catamaran is a common form of transport among the many small islands of the Philippines, as well as a key tool in facilitating fishing and providing a safe way for children in remote areas to travel to and from school. Four years after the turning over of these boats, we hope to check in on the recipients to see where they are today.
al2Sending well wishes to our Tawi-Tawi Medical Mission for Peace team as they prep for another collaborative effort in increasing medical and educational access across southern Philippines. By promoting healthy hygiene/lifestyle habits, creating positive educational experiences for children, and equipping locals with the tools and skills to build sustainable livelihoods, the Alegado Foundation hopes to make significant leeway in completing the larger mission of alleviating poverty and marginalization in the Philippines’s most far-flung communities.
