One of the cofounder of this non profit organization is someone I grew up with during my childhood years in Manila whom I never thought of would have become such an influential person in helping small communities to the country where I was born. I consider myself very fortunate to have reconnected with Anton Lim through FB after not been in touch with him for 30 years. When I saw his timeline on FB that he will be visiting LA , I quickly PM him to invite him for lunch . Over lunch, while we were catching up about our family life and careers, I found out that he is not only an active Veterinarian in his hometown, Zamboanga ,but also very much involve with community services such as Tzu Chi and this Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger. I was deeply touched by his personal testimonies about his life experiences with these unfortunate families especially little children who have to swim long distances everyday just to get to school. I was humbled by Anton’s humility, patience and compassion. I am glad that I am able to share my blessings to Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation today and to support my friend in achieving his goals to continuously provide more Yellow Boats to these children. I strongly believe that children should not be deprived from physical, INTELLECTUAL, and emotional development. Education is the child’s strongest barrier against poverty. So, lets all step up and make our donations!!!
