Seeds of Hope
The Seeds of Hope project aims to alleviate hunger through providing our communities with seeds that can grow into vegetables for food. This aims to equip Yellow Boat of Hope adopted communities with sustainable farming methods, knowledge, and tools; provide families in Yellow Boat of Hope communities with farming knowledge and resources for them to earn a living and alleviate their families from poverty and hunger; and address hunger and food insecurity brought about by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. With backyard, school, or community gardens, students and their families will not have to experience food insecurity in spite of the COVID-19 lockdowns.
Post-COVID-19, the Seeds of Hope Program aims to continue supplementing the Department of Education’s Gulayan sa Paaralan Program in schools. Our goal is to make sure that no Filipino children are left stunted or malnourished, and not have hunger and malnourishment hinder children from finishing school.
