Hope on the Menu: Max’s Restaurant North America Fundraising for Education

Hope on the Menu: Max’s Restaurant North America x Yellow Boat of Hope Fundraising for Education

Max’s Restaurant North America fundraising for education has teamed up with the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation to support Filipino children in need. This special campaign aims to give children in remote areas better access to education.

Our goal is to raise $25,000. The funds will help provide boats for children who must cross rivers to reach school. In addition, the money will support building classrooms and supplying students with essential school materials, such as books and learning tools.

Every donation, no matter the size, has the power to change lives. With your support, children in remote communities will have the opportunity to attend school safely. This campaign will help break the cycle of poverty by giving children the education they deserve.

You can donate through Wells Fargo Bank or PayPal USA. After donating, please send a screenshot or photo of your proof to chief.hopepaddler@yellowboat.org. Make sure to include the subject line “Max’s Restaurant North America – [Name of Donor]” so we can track each contribution.

By joining the Max’s Restaurant North America fundraising campaign for education, you are serving a brighter future for children, one donation at a time.

With Hope on the Menu, your support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children in need.

Max's Restaurant North America
Max's Restaurant's beginnings started in 1945, after World War II. Maximo Gimenez, a Stanford – educated teacher, befriended the American occupation troops stationed at Quezon City. Because of this friendship, the soldiers regularly visited Maximo's nearby home for a drink or two. Later on, the troops insisted that they pay for their drinks. This prompted Maximo to open a cafe, where the troops could enjoy food and drinks. The cafe initially served chicken, steak and drinks. Maximo's niece, Ruby, who managed the kitchen, created a special recipe for chicken that became an instant favorite for the GIs. Soon, the Filipino public heard about the delicious chicken – tender, juicy and crispy – and they came too! Max's Restaurant was born. Over the years, Max's Restaurant's popularity grew and it became known as "The House That Fried Chicken Built." Max's Restaurant has established itself as a household name in the Philippines, an institution, and a proud Filipino tradition. The second and third generations of the family continue to zealously uphold the standards and traditions set by Maximo and Ruby for all Max's Restaurants. Now a global brand, Max's Restaurant serves real, authentic Philippine cuisine at over 180 locations in the Philippines, 4 in the Middle East, and 21 in North America.
