YELLOW BOAT OF HOPE FOUNDATION SAILS ITS CHRISTMAS MISSION THROUGH ‘WAVES OF HOPE’

A Campaign to Support Education, Rebuild Communities, and Bring Hope to Children in Remote Areas

MAKATI, Philippines — The Yellow Hope of Boat Foundation (YBH) launches its Christmas fundraising program, “Waves of Hope”, calling on the public to bring hope through education to marginalized children in remote areas in the Philippines, as well as regions affected by recent typhoons.

Running from December 1, 2024, to January 6, 2025, the program not only aims to rebuild and help YBH adopt communities affected by recent typhoons but also further its educational initiatives. The “Waves of Hope” fundraising program will fund repairs in affected YBH communities along with new yellow school boats and starter classrooms in Sulu, Basilan, Zamboanga Sibugay, Palawan, and Bicol.

The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation wishes to reignite hope this coming season with the belief that ripples of generosity can create Waves of Hope toward healing and a brighter tomorrow.

This Christmas, we have the opportunity to come together, just like our Hope Paddlers do, to rebuild lives and restore dreams. When we work hand in hand—whether it’s building boats, classrooms or simply giving our time and resources—we’re not just helping others; we’re reigniting hope. This is the true essence of the season: sharing what we have, no matter how small, to make a difference in someone else’s life.” Says Dr. Anton Mari H. Lim, YBH President, CEO, and Co-Founder.

Be the Beacon of Hope

Donors eager to create a meaningful impact can donate through any of the platforms and accounts listed below:

Dr. Lim emphasizes that giving is all about how people care and transform lives towards one another. “Let’s remember that every act of generosity brings us closer to a world where no child has to choose between hunger and education, or despair and hope. Giving is love in action.”

It’s not just about giving money—it’s about giving children the hope and tools they need to chase their hopes and dreams. Join us, and together, we can turn stories of struggle into stories of success,” as he encourages donors to be a beacon of hope for others.

The “Waves of Hope” Campaign is a collaborative effort of the Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation and a group of junior students in Bachelor of Advertising and Public Relations (BAPR) at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP).

The Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation is a volunteer-driven non-profit organization in the Philippines that aims to provide access to education for children in remote and poverty-stricken areas by providing boats to reach their schools. Composed of more than 300 Hope Paddlers and countless volunteers willing to devote their time and effort whenever needed. They believe in accomplishing their mission by reigniting the characteristics of “Bayanihan” in every Filipino while carrying their tagline of “Ensuring no Filipino kid is left behind.”
